With Elan Valley right on the doorstep, enjoy idyllic landscapes and an abundance of wildlife, making for lovely walks for all the family as well as keen walkers with the popular Elan Valley Trail, following the route of the old railway, close by. 850 acres of wilderness water with an abundance of brown trout and other stock creates the perfect opportunity for a day of angling. For variety, the town of Rhayader is in range and is said to be the oldest settlement in Mid-Wales.

As you enter this charming property, you will enter the entrance hall way, leading off the hallway you will enter the spacious lounge/diner with warming wood burner and large double aspect windows enjoying the views to both the front and rear of the property. Leading off the lounge you will enter the fully equipped kitchen with added seating area to enjoy your morning coffee, just off the kitchen you will find a handy WC and a useful utility room. Heading upstairs you will reach the large landing area, the first of the bedrooms is the sweet twin bedroom, located next to the twin bedroom is the large family bathroom with shower over bath. As you continue your stroll past the bathroom you will reach the final two bedrooms, the master bedroom to your left with en-suite shower room and TV and straight ahead the double bedroom, all of which have been tastefully decorated.

Heading outside, you will enjoy the large landscaped garden with a variety of different seating areas, where you can enjoy the sound of the birds and the flowing stream. This is the perfect space to unwind and relax after a busy day exploring the local area.

  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £250 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £30. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

Another fantastic week in the cottage. We delayed a day arriving due to the horrific storm in the Saturday but after that we had a dry week. Cottage remains spotless, comfy and well equipped and the garden is definitely dog proof which is so important with sheep in the common land outside the gates. We absolutely loved staying here, the house and garden were beautiful. The location was simply stunning and was perfect for peace and quiet and we all, including our dog, loved the beautiful walks. We were lucky enough to see the local fireworks and bonfire which were fabulous.

Its a wonderful cottage with beutiful views from every window. Lots of wildlife, fantastic walks right from the doorstep and a very short drive to the little town of Rhayader with some nice pubs. We liked the Crown best for food. Handy boot room for our 3 sets of muddy paws and a fantastic enclosed garden. I'd highly recommend the red kite feeding Read morefarm (Gigrin farm). The Elan Valley visitors centre (10 mins walk from the cottage) had a nice cafe with hot sandwiches & pasties. We hope to return! Hide

This is a simply wonderful cottage in the most beautiful of settings. The unique property is spotless and has every amenity you could need. The garden is simply stunning and our dogs loved it. The location could not be more perfect for delightful walks and we could not recommend the whole experience highly enough.

Great location, lovely comfortable cottage with a stunning garden. Dog proof for most dogs, but ours being a scent hound, he found a couple of places that he could escape from. Really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Lovely listed Arts & Crafts building in a fantastic location. Watched the red kites, buzzards and also a tawny owl flying from the garden. Drove up from the village on the mountain road to Devil's Bridge then onto the coast, fantastic scenery. A great base to discover the Wales / England border.

We had an amazing time in such a lovely cottage with an amazing location. The cottage suited our needs perfectly. They had thought of everything even down to the towels too dry the dogs. And basic things we had forgotten.

A stunning cottage and garden in a truly beautiful area. The cottage is comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing holiday, even down to some towels in the boot room for soggy doggies. Plenty of lovely walks direct from the door and the Elan valley visitor's centre is only a short walk away. A fantastic time had by us all.

My friends and I enjoyed a wonderful week at the house, it was extremely comfortable and well equipped. I was already acquainted with the location, one of my favourite parts of Wales, ideal for hiking amongst the outstanding countryside and ideal for dog walking. Another wonderful stay in this very well equipped, comfortable, cosy, well located cottage. We love staying here, it is so peaceful with walks right out the front door - as well as a lovely dog proof garden! Ive said it before but this property is good for the soul. What a fantastic location and unique cottage. The owners have obvious pride in this cottage and the unique location makes for a brilliant stay. A fantastic cottage in an idyllic setting. The cottage has everything required for a great holiday. Its well equipped and everything is to a high standard. The garden is awesome. We always look for reviews where guests have said secure garden for dogs and the garden here is totally secure. We were able to relax whist our dog safely explored the garRead moreden. 10 Elan Village is a beautiful home to holiday in. Spacious and yet homely . The boot room as you walk in is a bonus with dogs . The kitchen is equipped fantastically. Beautiful lounge to relax in.
