For enthusiastic walkers, join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path which stretches 186 miles and explore east towards Dinas Head and the beautiful Newport Sands, with the opportunity to watch dolphins and seals. Newport Links Golf Course is also situated nearby, with stunning views across the bay. The beautiful Preseli Hills are just a short drive away, where you can visit the historic Pentre Ifan Burial Chamber. St. Davids, the smallest city in the UK, with its magnificent cathedral and Bishop's Palace is also close by, together with nearby family attractions such as Castell Henllys. A wealth of festivals throughout the year also take place in Fishguard, including the Fishguard Folk Festival in May, the International Music Festival in July and the Aberjazz Jazz & Blues Festival in August.

Walk up the driveway and step into the porch, where you can hang your coats and kick off your boots. Continue into the open-plan lounge/dining room, where you will immediately feel at home. There are two large comfortable sofas which are perfect for curling up and watching a good film, soft carpets throughout and patio doors leading to your own private garden space. There is also a selection of books and board games to choose from. Straight ahead you will see the doorway through to the traditional kitchen, which is well-equipped for preparing and cooking meals during your stay. This looks out over the garden, with a useful utility room next door. Heading upstairs there are 3 bedrooms to choose from, all with freshly laundered bedding and towels - 1 double with en-suite shower room, 1 further double and 1 twin. There is also a family bathroom.

Ropeyard Cottage is warm and comfortable, this was our 2nd holiday here. It's very well provisioned - fill the dishwasher and there's plenty of crockery and cutlery left over to keep eating! In early October it was cool rather than cold but the central heating was fast to heat up (3 years ago it was wet and cold and it was great then too). Beds werRead moree comfortable and the towels luxurious. We'll be back next time we want to holiday in Fishguard. Hide

Ropeyard Cottage is a very well cared for property in an excellent location in easy walking distance to the centre of Upper Fishguard. The living room and bedrooms are very comfortable and the kitchen and laundrette are very well equipped. It is great that the house offers 2 upstairs bathrooms and a downstairs toilet. It was ideal for my disabled bRead morerother that their room had an ensuite walk-in shower and the build-in wardrobes in our bedrooms were great. I would happily reccommend the cottage! Hide

This cottage is in a great location for exploring the stunning coastline and for walking into town for food and drinks in the evenings. Spacious and comfortable cottage. Well equipped. Fishguard is a nice town. Was slightly surprised, given the age of the building, to find the cottage was in the middle of housing estate, but it was convenient for the centre of the town, A40 and A487.
