Set in the heart of the small market town of Llanfyllin, this property is a short walk from the local shops, pubs and restaurant. The local area is ideal for energetic types, with fishing, cycling, water sports, walks and trails all within easy reach. For something a little more leisurely, the popular attractions of the Powysland Museum, the Textile Museum and the National Trust’s Chirk and Powis castles are only a short drive away. Further afield, southern Snowdonia is 20 miles away and a trip to the coast is just 32 miles away.

Inside, this property has been thoughtfully fitted and furnished for modern day life, while retaining plenty of original charm through exposed beams, an inglenook fireplace, wooden floorboards and wall panelling. With two kitchens, a utility room and wine cellar, there is ample space and equipment to store and prepare delicious group meals. A large dining room with long banquet table sets the scene for memorable celebrations. The lounge and drawing rooms each offer comfortable seating, ornate furnishings, feature fireplaces and woodburners, while the snug features a TV and DVD for cosy movie nights and the reading room offers a peaceful space to get away from it all. Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom and shower room. On the first floor are two beautifully decorated super-king-size bedrooms (one accessed via a separate staircase from the second kitchen), one shower room. There are also two king-size bedrooms (one with four poster bed), one with en-suite bathroom featuring a fantastic free-standing bath and separate shower, together with an additional single bed and cot.  On the second floor is one king-size with crib, one double, one double bed with additional single bed, and one super-king size with two additional single beds.There is also a family bathroom with a further opulent free-standing bath and separate shower. From the second floor, a winding wooden staircase leads up to a fantastic games room located in the eaves of the house. Here you will find an air hockey, mini-pool and football table together with toys, board games, a TV and Wii.

Outside, there is a large gravelled area with ample furniture and a BBQ for hosting sunny al fresco lunches.

The Manor House is a beautiful Tudor/Georgian House which my party of 21 enjoyed staying in. The kids had endless games of hide & seek around the property and enjoyed the table football, air hockey and snooker/pool table. The kitchen was fully stocked. We had a wonderful weekend at the Manor House for 20 members of our extended family. The house is fabulous and full of history with more kitchen equipment than you could ever need! The bedrooms were lovely and we all enjoyed sitting around the big table for meals. We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely house, one of the best equipped kitchens we've ever seen in nearly 30 years of annual trips. Beds were particularly comfortable, and the house smelled gorgeous. The town had a friendly atmosphere too, and they went all-in on Halloween, which was great for the kids, who love to go treat-or-treating.

Perfect property for our weekend. House is full of character & has ample room for a multitude of people. It was perfect for a large family celebration. We were 21 over 4 generations. The dining room with long table was ideal both for meals and party games. The house was very well furnished and quite quirky and it took us time to find our way around. The games room on the top floor had plenty for the kids to go at. The huge, historic, fully equipped house is full of character. The very friendly owners have invested heavily and worked unstintingly to restore the house to its present, very comfortable condition. This Manor House is a real gem of history, I felt privileged staying somewhere so historic and 3rd most historic building in Llanfyllin. The house was fabulous. It's in a great location right in the middle of a lovely characterful village close to shops, pubs and walks and with plenty to do nearby. We had a great time there. Wonderful, quirky, historic house conveniently situated in a lovely friendly village. We were a multigenerational family of 14 ranging from 8 mnths to 90yrs old, celebrating a 90th bday. A quirky house but great for a family get together. It is a very old building which adds to it charms so expect uneven flooring and the odd creak and groan but the house welcomes you with open arms. There is lots to do locally. All amenities in the area are close by. We didn't use the pubs or takeaway but they looked nice.

This property is amazing, a really interesting and quirky house with loads to explore. It was comfortable, warm and very historic. The house is in a great location for country walks and exploration, as well as a stroll for nearby restaurants and pubs. The house is situated in a lovely village with lots of amenities within walking distance including a Chinese takeaway, pubs and a fish and chip shop. The SPA shop down the road was very handy too! The Manor House was a fantastic property for our family gathering, so many large well furnished rooms. The games room was a real treat and our toddlers loved playing dress up with all the costumes that were there. It was very clean and the owners were very accommodating of our requests. Nine of us enjoyed a wonderful week in this quirky, spacious, very reasonably priced house in a quiet yet central location, ideal for local walks & meals out. Exceptional place for large family gatherings. Plenty of space. There were 13 of us over two generations. Facilities are perfect and the outside area was great with adequate seating. We had a fantastic weekend with family and friends celebrating a special birthday. The house is spacious and equipped with everything you needed to make catering so easy. The beds were comfortable with good quality linen, and there was plenty of hot water for showers. We would definitely recommend this property.

We had a lovely week in the property, a mixture of ages frkm 12 to 74. All had a good time. Accessible for days out at NT. Nicely located felt isolated whilst being surrounded, yet was also a two minute walk from pubs takeaways and local canvienance stores. Would highly recommend might even go back.

This house is amazing if like us you had a big family and friends gathering. It was spotlessly clean and for such a big old house is a massive credit to you both. The kitchens are really well equipped for self catering or having someone come into cook, we did both. The kids and dogs love it too as it is so big they played all over it. This place is amazing! The rooms are spacious and the beds were comfortable and easily accommodated our 15 person family plus 3 dogs. The 2 separate kitchens meant we could cook a roast dinner with more than enough equipment provided and we even bought the veg from a local independent shop and meat from the butchers which is a 30 second walk away.
