Set amongst historic Welsh Border towns including nearby Hay on Wye, a national treasure of international fame for its numerous book shops and annual literary festival with independent stores and local eateries the rest of the year. Foodie haven, Ludlow & historic Hereford are also within easy reach. From the door there is great walking along the natural English/Welsh Border, Offa’s Dyke and outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the Brecon Beacons National Park for walking, cycling, pony trekking as well as the River Wye for days on the water. Canoe, kayak and pony hire are all readily available locally. Bike hire is available at an additional cost, arranged direct with the owner.
Follow the pathway to the property, meandering through the vibrant kitchen garden. Step into the open-plan living space, with original exposed beams and carefully selected furniture pieces which create a warm and homely feel. There is a stylish floral sofa where you can curl up and watch a film on the Smart TV after a day of exploring the local area. The well-equipped kitchen offers an electric oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, wine cooler and Nespresso machine for a delicious morning coffee. Nestled out of the way is a dining table perfect for two. Heading upstairs, you will find a beautifully finished super king-size bedroom set in the eaves, with freshly laundered bedding. There is a stable door which looks out onto the kitchen garden - a lovely sight to wake up to! Enjoy a hot bubble bath in the en-suite bathroom, or start the day with a refreshing waterfall shower. Fluffy towels and robes are also included for a touch of extra luxury.
Stepping outside through the patio doors from the lounge area, there is a private patio terrace overlooking the garden. Sit back and relax with a glass of wine and there is also a small fire pit - perfect for toasting marshmallows!
As well as being very luxurious, the accommodation is fuelled by a state of the art wood chip boiler (tours available) and solar panels, offering carbon neutral stays. There is the option of offsetting your carbon emissions from travelling to the property by buying a tree / trees which the owners will plant and record. Any contribution goes to a local woodland regeneration programme the owners are working on to help regenerate biodiversity in the local area.
