A short drive and you're in the pretty town of Monmouth which has greengrocers, artisan delicatessens, bookshops and a wine merchant.
Take a drive through the Wye Valley, noting the Michelin restaurants as you go and you’ll find yourself in Tintern, with its awe - inspiring 12th Century ruins, Tintern Abbey . Spend days exploring the area with picnic or paddle in hand, explore ancient ruins, high wires and cycle routes in the nearby Forest of Dean, or stride out for the mountains in the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Back up at the hut, sunshine dapples through the canopy, views stretch out for miles, sheep graze and if you’re lucky deer bound past. There’s every reason not to venture far at all. A giant of a shepherds hut, every comfort has been considered, from the cosiest of king-size cabin beds, warmest of wood burning stoves and lashings of hot water in the shower. There’s two macrame swing hammock chairs for lazy days and a fire pit for the obligatory camp fire…the mildest of wild adventures in the beautiful Welsh countryside! This hand made shepherds hut offers: Living/kitchen/diner/sleeping area: ONE king-size cabin bed, woodburner (first basket of logs / firelighters and kindling included), Kitchen area with gas hob, woodburning stove style oven, fridge, fire pit and BBQ also available outside for cooking. Dining area with table and chairs. Bathroom with shower, WC, towels included.
