Down the curved wooden boardwalk, sided by wildflowers and plants, you enter this cedar clad lodge and will be drawn to the stunning views through the bi-fold doors opening on to an inviting private deck .The spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is beautifully furnished with tables and beams made from locally grown Douglas Fir and Ash. Comfort is considered a priority with all the thoughtful little extras for year round comfort such as the underfloor heating and the cosy wood burner. The kitchen area is well-equipped with gas oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge with ice compartment. If you decide to have a romantic meal in, the table is perfectly positioned to embrace the fabulous view. Snuggle up and relax on the comfortable sofa watch the wildlife or a film, plan your activities for tomorrow or enjoy a good book. The sumptuous bedroom has a super-king-size hand crafted bed and a luxury en-suite spring fed, filtered shower with WC and soft towels. Luxurious eco-friendly toiletries including shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are provided which are friendly to the bio-digestive system on site. This special property is a truly romantic retreat.

Outside the garden is naturally designed with wild flowers, grassy mounds and is surrounded by rolling countryside and wildlife. The patio deck, with table and chairs, is the perfect spot to relax and unwind, enjoy alfresco dining or head to the private raised seating area by the fire pit to watch the wildlife or appreciate the dark skies stargazing. If you are keen on cycling or golf there is a secure bicycle store with wash down facilities, washing machine and drying facilities for wet boots and clothes. You can also find an "enclosed" area in the garden for the dogs. Private drive with off-road parking for one car. The lodge is set in two acres of grounds and maintains its own privacy, adjacent to the owners’ seven acre home and stables.

We had a lovely week in this fantastic lodge. Such a peaceful and beautiful location with so many walks from the doorstep. Th lodge was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Stunning views and so peaceful. It was my idea of the perfect holiday, watch the kites and ravens swooping and turning,, and all the wildlife, while relaxing with a glass of wine in seclusion, peace and quiet.

This is a gem and a dog heaven. We had a very relaxing time. The lodge is beautiful, extremely comfortable and has stunning views whatever the weather. I also loved the local produces such as the hand wash etc and the eggs from the owners' hens. The lodge is surrounded by birds and has a bird watch hut. A beautifully designed lodge in a superb location with stunning views, which was very well equipped throughout. We would highly recommend and we had a lovely peaceful stay. Surrounded by countryside and lots of local walks as well as a great golf club (if you are a golf enthusiast). Very dog friendly too!

We had a fabulous holiday, we could not have asked for anymore and had a wonderful week looking out at the stunning views, an abundance of beautiful walks on our doorstep and a perfect holiday for us and our two dogs. Beautiful and comfortable and first rate. Everything from knifes and forks to furniture is good quality I would recommend this to anyone. Skylark lodge was an idyllic get away with beautiful scenery, being able to enjoy the nice weather outside on the deck or with the bifold doors open was brilliant! Skylark is a fantastic place to stay and get away from city life. Everything is well thought out and the cabin has everything you would need. Had a lovely couple of days at Skylark Lodge. We only booked the day before and Nicky had everything ready for us including some breakfast items. Lodge was spotless and the bed really comfy. We made use of the log burner at night. Our dog had a great time. Would definitely go back perhaps when it's warmer so we could make use of the veranda

We had such a lovely stay in Skylark lodge. Nicky really has thought of everything to make it a wonderful stay. The location is great with gorgeous views out of every window. Great walks straight from the door then back to the cosy underfloor heating, lovely woodburner & comfy sofa. We really didn't want to leave.

Lovely lodge, owner very friendly , situation absolutely stunning. Loved the privacy and location. The only thing that spoiled our holiday was the torrential rain and gale force winds! Would love to return again and hopefully have better weather!
