Nestled at the foot of the Skirrid, on the eastern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Wye Valley. It is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and relax in the great Welsh outdoors. The area is also steeped in history with some of Europe’s finest surviving castles, Abergavenny Castle set against the spectacular hills and Crickhowell Castle, a prominent feature within a small market town, or if you want more of an adventure try canoeing or kayaking on the River Wye. The area is also host to a vibrant events calendar to include Usk show and Abergavenny food festival.
Take in the stunning views across the Skirrid and surrounding mountain ranges before you step up onto the terrace of this hand crafted shepherds hut. This wooden hut beautifully finished with hard wood windows and doors, offers luxurious glamping living, with the extra bonus of under floor heating for the cooler months. Inside the front door you will find a living area with lounge/kitchen/diner and sleeping area with a wood burner to snuggle up in front of after a day exploring the area. The lounge area has chairs where you can relax and listen to music on the radio, or watch a film on the smart TV, along with a small table and chairs for a simple supper for two. The kitchen area has a gas hob, fridge and kettle. In the evening snuggle up in the comfy double bed and look out at the stars. You will also find a shower room with a shower and WC.
Outside you can enjoy the enclosed landscaped garden, where there is a private hot tub for two with cover, a luxurious multi-jet shower and a sauna, perfect for relaxing after a strenuous day of walking. The exterior is completed with a comfortable seating area, a hammock, fire pit and a gas BBQ for cooking along with a storage box. There is off-road parking for one car.
There is also a lovely tea room on site which is run by the property owners.
