Enjoying a central location and perfect for exploring the Black Mountains, Elan Valley and Shropshire Hills. With many villages and market towns to include Hay-on-Wye, famous for its book shops and festivals and Hereford, with its cathedral, Mappa Mundi and Chained Library are close. There are many National Trust properties: The Weir Gardens, Croft Castle and Berrington Hall to name a few. A variety of festivals run throughout the year such as The Three Choirs, Ludlow Food Festival and Bromyard Folk Festival.

This open fronted stone barn was originally the blacksmith’s workshop for the ten carriage horses that were housed at the estate's stables. Step inside where you will be pleasantly surprised, the original A-frame of the building has been perfectly restored, and is the perfect backdrop to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area is inviting with sofas and armchairs and the addition of a Swedish wood burner and TV/DVD perfect for a chilly evening. The dining area is enhanced with the oak floors and linen curtains. The kitchen sits to the side of the barn and is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. So when the day is done you will find a super-king-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom with free standing claw foot bath and WC. A spiral staircase leads to a mezzanine with futon a great place to hideaway with a good book. There is an additional king-size bed situated off a mezzanine accessed via the kitchen area, this also has a shower room with shower and WC.

The gardens can be accessed directly via the French doors. Outside there's a pretty terrace with lavender and beech hedged lawns. The teak dining table and chairs are a welcoming place to discuss the day’s activities on balmy summer evenings, or relax in the outdoor hot tub. The shared heated outdoor pool is available between 1 May and 30 September between the hours of 9am and noon. There is off-road parking for two cars.
