There is no need to jump in the car to head out for a wander, simply find your way to the River Usk and step out onto the Usk Valley Walk offering 48 miles of scenic landscape to explore. For tales of years gone by and a dose of history, choose from two nearby castles: Usk Castle (less than 5 miles) or travel 6 miles to Raglan Castle and enjoy a day out before devouring a picnic or a bite to eat from the café. For walking enthusiasts needing a bigger challenge there's Sugar Loaf mountain (10 miles) and the Blorenge (8 miles) to tackle, these iconic peaks are often visible when travelling around the area. The market town of Abergavenny (8 miles) has many independent shops and eateries to explore. With plenty to keep you entertained throughout the day you’ll look forward to having this wonderful abode with its contemporary interior to return home to each evening.

Stepping down two steps, dine in style then sink into comfortable sofas in the spacious and light filled lounge/diner where underfloor heating keeps the flagstone floor warm and cosy. Pluck a book from the bookcase or switch on the TV and unwind, if the sun shines through, open the patio doors and let the fresh air inside. Character flows through into the bedroom, a lovely spot in which to drift off and dream or slip into the provided bath robes and put your feet up in the armchair. Freshen up in the wet room style shower room and get set for the day ahead.

Head up the blossom-lined driveway when arriving at the lodge which sits in 15 acres of the owner’s garden where their property can also be found. Relax on the private patio, fire up the BBQ and watch your four-legged friend chase their tail under the sun. The adjoining large field is left as natural grasslands with a mown pathway around the perimeter, perfect for leisurely walks from the door. This is a 'Dark skies' area and on a clear night you can expect to see the Milky Way, major constellations, bright nebulas and even meteor showers. Ample off-road parking is available.
