This fabulous period property, brimming with original features, is perfect for family gatherings or special celebrations in a peaceful rural setting.

Located down a quiet no-through road, this impressive longhouse is surrounded by rolling hills and towering trees, offering a tranquil retreat in the wild countryside above Llanwrtyd Wells. Step out the front door for long walks through unspoilt landscapes, along quiet country lanes and tranquil bridleways. Alternatively, explore the area by mountain bike. The charming town of Llanwrtyd Wells, just 3 miles away, offers independent stores, welcoming cafes, and pubs serving local produce and ales. The town hosts unique events like a bog-snorkelling triathlon, the Welsh Open Stone-Skimming Championships, and the World Alternative Games. For a seaside adventure, visit Aberaeron, 34 miles away, where you can enjoy a boat trip around the harbour, dine on freshly caught seafood, and kayak along the river.

One of only two properties at this location, this imposing farmhouse offers spacious accommodation with an interior design that reflects its heritage. Park on the gravelled area and enter through the large entrance hall with an original dark oak staircase. The kitchen, blending traditional charm with modern conveniences, is designed for socialising, featuring exposed brickwork and original beams. It is fully equipped with a large Rangemaster electric cooker, six-ring hob, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge/freezer, making it easy to cater for larger groups. A handy utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer is off the kitchen, along with a convenient shower room with WC. The dining room, with a flagstone floor and large traditional wood burner, has two dining tables seating 12 guests in total, plus sofas and chairs for relaxing after meals. A separate sitting room with a TV and DVD player is perfect for relaxed nights in.

Ascend the ancient oak staircase to the first floor, where you'll find four comfortable bedrooms, all tastefully decorated. The king-size bedroom has exposed ceiling beams and an en-suite shower room with WC. The generous double bedroom, with lovely garden views, also has an en-suite shower room with WC. There is a cosy twin bedroom and a fourth bedroom with a single bed. This level also features a family bathroom with a bath and WC, and a separate shower room with WC. Continue up a further flight of steep cottage-style stairs to a large attic bedroom with sloping ceilings, a king-size bed, and an en-suite shower room with WC. An additional single bed in an adjoining room provides plenty of space for younger guests to play or relax in front of the TV. The final bedroom is another king-size room with sloping ceilings, reached by a further flight of very steep cottage-style stairs in the attic.

Outside, enjoy a wide expanse of lawn for garden games and picnics. Spread out blankets for stargazing under clear night dark skies, fire up the BBQ for a leisurely evening meal, or sit on the terrace and take in the fabulous views.

Fantastic place to stay. We enjoyed a family Christmas with ten people, beautiful tree. So much space. Lots for younger family members. Big kitchen which is great when prepping Christmas Dinner. Would highly recommend.
