Nestled in the tranquil Cambrian Hills, this enchanting holiday home offers a unique stay within a historic manor house owned by the same family for over 400 years. Set amid 2,000 acres of breath taking parkland filled with ancient trees, rolling woodlands, and serene valleys, it’s a haven for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. The idyllic River Irfon meanders through the estate, offering perfect spots for picnics and wild swimming. A short stroll leads you to the sleepy village of Beulah (1 mile), where a welcoming pub and local store provide essentials. For more adventure, head to Llanwrtyd Wells (5.5 miles), the UK's smallest town, known for quirky events like bog-snorkelling triathlons. Venture a bit farther to explore the Victorian charm of Llandrindod Wells (14 miles) or the literary treasures of Hay-on-Wye (29 miles).

Approached via a picturesque estate road, this charming self-catering property occupies a private wing of the manor house, offering complete seclusion. Designed with reverse-level living to make the most of the stunning valley views, the ground floor boasts three beautifully decorated bedrooms: a spacious master double and two airy twin rooms, all styled in calming hues with vibrant touches of artwork. A family bathroom with a shower over the bath, a convenient ground-floor WC, and a utility room for boots and outdoor gear complete this level.

Upstairs, the light-filled kitchen/diner invites you to gather for hearty meals, with a well-equipped setup featuring an electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, and ample fridge/freezer space. A charming archway leads to a large dining table, perfect for enjoying meals with a view of the gardens. The living room, with its plush sofas, cosy wood burner, and scenic valley views, promises blissful relaxation. Completing the first floor is a snug single bedroom and a second bathroom with a shower.

Step outside to immerse yourself in nature. The private garden offers a tranquil spot for BBQs, while the tennis court invites friendly competition. Explore the owner’s beautifully maintained gardens, including a serene walled garden and water meadow. With secure storage for mountain bikes and ample parking, this delightful retreat is your gateway to peaceful countryside adventures and unforgettable memories.

The house is well equipped and very comfortable in a stunning location. Our hosts were wonderful and even went out of their way to help us with a flat tyre we discovered as we were due to leave - thank you!

This is rustic upside down house with spacious accommodation. Peaceful location surrounded by nature so make the most of it by unplugging from technology. Kids enjoyed playing ping pong, tennis and spotting pheasants and rabbits around the estate.
