Ty Gorof has a calm and peaceful atmosphere. At the back of the house the view is very special with the wooded valley and the sound of a near by stream. The house, the garden and the view feels very natural. The size and layout of the house is very functional for a self catering family holiday. Peaceful location with wonderful views. Spacious cottage with everything you need and more. Endless walks and trails with a mountain stream at every corner and the reservoir is a must-see. Best of all- even in May bank holiday week there was hardly anyone about. You can have a whole forest to yourself it seems.

We had a lovely week. The house has everything you need and it is well organised. The garden is so pretty with a lovely view over the valley. We had a few BBQs when we had some nice sunny days which was great. Some of us managed to see Night Jars which was a real treat. All in all a nice holiday.

A great cottage with excellent layout for a group with children. The cottage was well equipped especially in the kitchen where we cooked every evening. A lovely location with plenty of books and recommended visits to plan. Also a selection of books and games - plus great hosts when we needed to call. I would definitely recommend.

Nice location with fabulous views across the valley. Good facilities and well equipped, well suited for 6/7 guests. Walks and places of interest all within reasonable driving distance. Reasonable shops at Llandovery (7 miles), pub in village but hours variable so check.

The house was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped, in a beautiful, quiet area of the country - a well-kept secret. The view from the back garden is stunning, whatever the weather. There are fabulous walks direct from the door, onto the Moors and up to the hills and we all had a lovely, relaxing week at Ty Gorof.

A wonderful cosy, comfortable cottage which had everything we needed. We especially liked the log burner, particularly welcoming as we had a wet few days. The separate drying room for wet gear was appreciated! The area is beautiful so the weather did not spoil anything and there are many lovely walks to do in the area to keep you busy.

We stayed in Ty Gorof for 5 nights over Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is in a very pretty location with fabulous views especially from the back. The property is very well equipped and obviously well looked after; it's clean and comfortable and was plenty big enough for 6 adults and a baby. Despite the Holiday Cottages descrRead moreiption, however, there is no village shop and the village pub has now closed permanently. Nearest supplies about 7 miles in Llandovery. Hide
