The light and attractive kitchen/diner is well-equipped with everything you may need including an electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, as well as a charming dining area perfect for sharing a favourite family meal together. There’s also a ground-floor utility room with a washing machine as well as a separate WC. Going upstairs there are three cosy bedrooms, two doubles and a twin. There’s also a family bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and a WC.

The cottage sits within wonderful and extensive enclosed gardens which have been imaginatively tiered and provide plenty of space for children to play. The paved terrace provides a lovely seating area and there is also a BBQ and garden furniture. At the bottom of the garden, a gate leads out to a shallow stream which is perfect for children to play at building dams or sailing boats. Parking is available for two cars.

Fabulous house & superb garden, plus great walks via the stepping stones over the stream at the foot of the garden . We have been before and we'll be sure to return yet again. Be sure to get some wild bird seed and fat balls as you'll enjoy the many birds who will come closer for you to see. A first for us was seeing a grey dipper, which landed on Read morethe patio. The family were so glad we found Ben's Boat Hire (via Facebook) as we had a lovely journey along the canal, plus great stories from Ben. Hide

A lovely well equipped house tucked away amidst spectacular scenery. The dogs loved the garden and stream. A very relaxing place with loads of walks from the door. We were fortunate to have a week of sunny weather so saw the countryside at its best. A really wonderful week. Very sorry to leave.

This cottage is beautiful, as is the garden, especially with the glorious stream and river at the bottom of the garden. My children and dogs all had plenty of space to run and play. We enjoyed the fire pit - toasting marshmallows, and taking in the beautiful scenery. I managed to climb a couple of the very tall hills/mountains and enjoyed the walk Read moreto the local village for a pub lunch. As the location is so recluse, the WiFi was a little touch and go at times, mostly fine though. WE LOVED IT ! Hide
