The village of Llangorse sits deep within the Brecon Beacons National Park, a well-served village with local shop and village inns. The area is perfect for outdoor pursuits where you can hire a rowing boat, kayak, Canadian canoe, pedalo, stand up Paddle Board or fishing boat and go boating on Llangorse Lake the largest natural lake in South Wales. A wealth of walking whether you chose to follow the rivers and miles of canal-side scenic pathways or enjoy the hilltop views. There are activity centres that offer kayaking, climbing, mountain biking and horse riding throughout the area. For the more easy-going guests there are some lovely market towns such as Hay-on-Wye the town of books, Crickhowell and Brecon, all within easy reach. (Please check admittance for the various attractions). Visit the waterfalls at Talybont, a hidden jem and the Pwkk y Wrach nature reserve at Talgarth where you can visit the Witches Pool.

This traditional stone barn sits within the fringes of Llangorse village at the foot of the Black Mountains. With lots of low level lighting touches you can make this a really cosy home away from home during the autumn and winter months. The dining area has been finished with a traditional farmhouse table and low lighting which is perfect for all meals. The well-equipped kitchen is open-plan and features a gas oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. And, when the day is done, climb the stairs where you will find two sumptuous bedrooms with original beams and majestic vaulted ceilings off a large landing. What a find! Beautiful accomodation with every possible comfort you could imagine. Even down to the skylight where I could watch the stars as this is a dark skies area. Especially liked the fact that rather than the usual 4 of this and that there was a plentiful supply of crockery, cutlery and glasses. A perfect place and location to stay at.

A truly gorgeous cottage, worth every penny. Stylish yet comfortable - Welsh rugs on beds and settees a beautiful addition. The information provided by the owners was comprehensive, as well as the welcome pack of wine and milk - choose your tipple. We had a great stay at Trem Troed. It is a very comfortable house, with some very thoughtful touches, such as the wonderful candles. It was warm which was wonderful considering the cold weather outside. The bottle of wine and the chocolate waiting for us was much appreciated.

Absolutely lovely cottage, we cannot recommend Trem Troed enough! It was very comfortable, with lots of seating space and an amazingly well appointed kitchen. It was perfect for our group of four adults and a baby on a wet and rainy weekend in the Brecon Beacons! Liz and Alun were incredibly hospitable and helpful. We will definitely be back!
