The full route winds around the west coast to St Dogmaels on the Teifi Estuary. Golfing guests should head for the fairways of Trefloyne Manor Golf Club (1 mile), Tenby Golf Club, or the 18-hole pitch and putt course, driving range, and crazy golf at Heatherton World of Activities (4.5 miles), the whole family can get involved. While history buffs should visit Pembroke Castle (9 miles) to see medieval history spring to life.

Head in the driveway, and take a flight of steps up to the front door and into the hall of this charming property which has a split-level arrangement. Walk through and venture up steps where you’ll find the living room with comfy sofas, and TV/DVD with Freeview. Curl up with a good book in the bay window seat and enjoy distant sea views. Wander into the open-plan kitchen and dining area where you can rustle up delicious home-cooked meals in the well-equipped kitchen, featuring an electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. Gather around the dining table and catch up on the day. There’s a handy utility room with a fridge/freezer, washing machine, and tumble dryer too. When sleepy heads nod, you’ll find two double bedrooms, a twin bedroom, a shower room, and a separate WC on the ground floor; and a king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath, separate shower, and WC. All of the bedrooms have TVs, and the king-size bedroom has wonderful countryside views. Downstairs there's a table tennis room which offers secure storage for bikes if needed.

Outside, there’s a private rear garden with mature flower beds, and tiered steps up to the BBQ seated patio area that’s ideal for dining alfresco on warm summer evenings. There’s also a veranda and paved area at the front of the property with seating, plus parking available for three cars. Shop, pubs, and restaurant within half a mile; and a beach nearby

The cottage was really comfortable and well resourced, with plenty of crockery, cutlery, and kitchen equipment suitable for a large family. The sea could be seen from the large living room, and we enjoyed the beautiful garden with the sweet-smelling lavender, rosemary and sage (which we used in cooking). The location was ideal; a short walk from TeRead morenby, with its shops and other attractions, and also from the wide, sandy South Beach. The owner and manager of the property were both very helpful. Hide

A lovely comfortable house, very spacious, clean and well equipped. Easy walk (15 mins) to beautiful Penally beach and Tenby also within walking distance along the coastal path. The table tennis room was an added bonus, as was the delightful garden. Very easy drives to a variety of places to entertain three generations of family aged from 10 to 73.Read more Could have stayed for weeks - a real home from home! Hide

Perfect for a multi generational family or group of friends as there are 4 well sized double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a cloakroom. Very well equipped kitchen. We find Tenby too busy, so Penally is ideal as a base. We have stayed here several times now and return because of how lovely it is.

The front steps leading up to the house are very steep and not at all suitable for someone with mobility problems. The lounge and kitchen are on the first floor, so be prepared for the little stair case leading to them.

We had a lovely stay at The Lavenders. The split level accommodation worked well for us with some of the bedrooms being on a different floor to the living room and kitchen. The area is fantastic for walking and the town of Tenby just a 20 minute walk away. Close to attractions for family activities too. We hope to have a return visit at some point.

Lovely house, extremely well equipped and child friendly for our 18months granddaughter. Quite a few steps both inside and out, for those with mobility issues. Lovely cottage . Nice, informative owners. Comfortable lounge, Bedrooms and bathrooms very clean. The beds were comfy, and we all slept well, however, the property is unsuitable for those of us who have mobility issues, I use a walking aid and had no idea that there were so many stairs to the toilets or bedrooms. The property needs an 'ACCESS STATERead moreMENT' , describing the layout, so that you can assess it's suitability, before booking . In conclusion, my family loved it, and we had a great week. Hide

The house is as described and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the dining table big enough for 8 people, likewise the lounge. It is a 10 minute drive to Tenby, which we visited several times during our holiday - the weather was too wet to explore further afield, but Tenby is a lovely place, with locally produced gins and a brewerRead morey (Hwbour).
