Park the car and walk into this creatively designed 19th-century farmhouse, full of period charm, interesting features and pleasant surprises. The first room is the old bakery with an original bread oven, bowl and quarry tiles, now perfect as the boot room with a handy separate WC. Kick-off your boots and hang up your coats as continue your journey into the stylish kitchen. It is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and all the thoughtful little extras, there’s plenty of space to rustle up a meal with purchases from your travels. The large breakfast bar is a lovely space to enjoy morning coffee whilst looking through the cookery books to inspire your palate and menu for everyone to enjoy. The next room is the cosy snug with comfortable sofas, Smart TV, log burner and exposed beams creating a cosy room to gather around and plan your holiday activities. Continue round to the magnificent dining room with the dining table taking centre stage with a feature fireplace, sideboard and interesting artworks. After a jolly meal together, retire to the inviting lounge with a sumptuous corner sofa, TV and DVD, feature fireplace with electric fire and French doors leading out to the patio and garden, with fabulous estuary views beyond the garden. This is a lovely room to relax in catching up on each other’s news, snuggling up and watching a film or opening the doors and listening to birdsong. Upstairs you will find the inviting library landing, and three lovely bedrooms to choose from, the king-size, super-king-size (zip-and-link which can be made up as a twin on request) and the cosy twin room. Also on this floor is the stylish bathroom with bath, shower and WC. The house sits in the centre of the attractive gardens with the front being laid mostly to lawn with established trees, shrubs, plants and fabulous views over the fields and estuary. A fantastic property l, so peaceful and quiet. The cottage itself was clean and gorgeously presented. The owner waited to welcome us too and give us a tour. The cottage was lovely and the owner also. However, there were a few issues. The garden was enclosed, but not dog friendly enclosed; our dogs got out via the gate more than once which was very stressful, resulting in us having to block it off with bins and a wooden pallet etc that had to be removed and replaced each time we went out. The internet wRead moreas very intermittent and the top bedroom had no wardrobe. There was also building work going on next door. Such a shame and sadly disappointing. Hide

We had a lovely and relaxed week long stay at the property. There was plenty of space for 6 adults, 1 newborn and 2 dogs and we all had a wonderful time. The house was very homely and had lovely views of the sea / estuary whilst also having huge fields on the doorstep so was a perfect mix of coastal and countryside. What a lovely holiday. It really was like going home from home with everything you could think of supplied and more. The hot tub is a real added bonus, made use of daily even when the weather was a bit chilly! We really couldnt have asked for more.

Beautiful place! The lane to the cottage is very narrow but we didnt really have too many problems. It is about 20mins away from Talacre beach which is beautiful and dog friendly all year round. The garden is secure for dogs (well at least ours anyway) and very well kept. The cottage itself is lovely, spacious, comfortable and well situated. A lovely cottage and great place to stay as a family. We were three generations so the setup was great for us with the separate granny annex. The garden was lovely - a large lawn that the dogs and children loved playing in, and the sheltered garden area with covered seating, hot tub and bbq was brilliant. This is an incredible home from home. Fantastic position with lovely views and great garden, absolutely everything we wanted well equipped, peaceful surroundings but easy to go out and visit the area. We love the cottage, we went as a family of 7 including our very mischevious 2 year old pup! We spent a good week there and the weather was amazing which was a bonus. We all enjoyed the local produce left for us to try, the owners butter and cheese was particularly delicious. We visited the dairy farm shop where we got their own milk and all the children had milkshakes.
