  • A beautiful, fresh and bright townhouse perfect for get-togethers and reunions
  • Featuring spacious living areas with stunning sea and mountain views
  • Ideally situated on the waterfront just a few hundred metres from the beach
Property code: DY003

With lovely views across the Dyfi Estuary, this impressive four-storey holiday home makes a wonderfully relaxing getaway for larger families and groups of friends discovering picturesque Aberdyfi.

Set on the edge of the picturesque coastal village of Aberdyfi (also known as Aberdovey), this elegant and welcoming townhouse offers a fantastic retreat for groups of friends and larger families exploring the beautiful southern reaches of the spectacular Snowdonia National Park. Lying along the northern bank of the River Dyfi, this fantastic property is just half a mile from the heart of the village, where you will find a variety of great restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops, a championship golf course, some lovely pastel-coloured buildings and a glorious golden sandy beach which stretches for miles. There’s also an old Roman Road to follow and a picturesque Picnic Island. A range of local activities includes sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and fishing.

A couple of steps lead up and into this refreshing and inviting property. The Victorian-tiled hallway leads through to the open-plan kitchen/diner with oak flooring. This spacious and elegantly designed room is perfect for preparing and sharing all your favourite family meals. The kitchen is equipped with a double electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer, while the dining area benefits from a TV, stylish dining table, a warming wood burner, and additional sofas to relax in afterwards. There’s also a ground-floor utility room with a washer/dryer and a shower room with WC. Stairs lead up to the first floor where you will find the pretty lounge. With a large window seat, bay windows, comfortable sofas, smart TV, DVD, iPod dock and a coal-effect gas fire, this is a wonderful space for everyone to settle back, enjoy a film or chat into the night. The first floor is also home to a family bathroom with shower over the bath and a WC, and the first of the property’s attractively decorated bedrooms, a twin room to the rear of the house – all with plenty of storage space. Going up a second flight of stairs, there are two more warm and tastefully furnished bedrooms on the second floor: a twin room to the rear of the house, and a king-size room overlooking the Dyfi Estuary. This floor also features a shower room with a shower and WC. A steep cottage-style final flight of stairs curves up and into the cosy attic bedroom. With low sloping ceilings and exposed beams, this snug and relaxing room has a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room with shower and WC.

Stepping outside, there’s a small back yard with a useful hot and cold hand shower, a door for storing bikes and other equipment, and foldaway table and chairs so you can enjoy a morning coffee as you prepare for the day. Although the yard is enclosed, children and pets should be supervised. To the front of the property a small terrace features a bench offering views out to sea. You will also be provided with two free car passes for use in Aberdyfi’s pay and display car parks – the nearest is just 300 metres away.

Lovely location and property which was advertised as pet friendly. The kitchen is on the ground floor and then the first floor is where the lounge/ main living space is, on arrival there is a sign saying no dogs upstairs, which meant that we had to spend our time sitting on dinning room chairs or a window seat in the kitchen. We left the property 2Read more days early. I would not recommend this property if you have a dog with you. Hide

The accommodation was spotlessly clean, is very spacious and extremely comfortable with panoramic sea views. The beds are exceptionally comfortable! While dogs are allowed, there are notices to say they're not allowed upstairs. As the lounge is located upstairs it seems that although dogs are allowed, they are not welcome in areas other than the kiRead moretchen. The kitchen used to have a settee in the bay window but this has been replaced by a built-in seating area which is uncomfortable. Hide

Fantastic property in a beautiful location. Comfortable beds and sofas for good quality sleep and relaxing. Very good quality fixtures and fittings added to the comfort of the property. Everything you could need for a self catering stay. The view was stunning and so relaxing to be able to sit at the front overlooking the water and boats. The car paRead morerk passes were very welcome to the main car park a few hundred metres away. A good pub (Penhelig arms) a few metres away with a beer garden. Fabulous! Hide
