Set in stunning rural surroundings, this quaint and traditional stone-built farmhouse has been lovingly updated to provide refreshing holiday accommodation for larger families and groups of friends.

Perfect for nature lovers, walkers and cyclists, this charming farmhouse makes a wonderful holiday base in the south of the glorious Snowdonia National Park, ideal for exploring Cwm Maethlon / Happy Valley. Local attractions include the Dyfi Osprey Project, Falconry Experience Wales (both 9 miles) and RSPB Ynis-hir Nature Reserve, where you can see lapwings and redshanks. The mountains of Cader Idris are to the north (13 miles). To the east is the bustling market town of Machynlleth (9 miles), or you can head east to the coast and the seaside village of Aberdyfi (also known as Aberdovey) (7 miles). Both Aberdyfi and Machynlleth have some great places to eat and drink, with activities including golf, fishing and water sports.

Situated at the end of a farm track, this whitewashed and beautifully furnished Welsh farmhouse provides a fantastic holiday getaway for up to eight guests, and has original exposed beams and stone flooring throughout. Entering the property, the light and spacious kitchen/diner has a range of equipment including an electric range oven, dishwasher, under-counter fridge with ice compartment and a charming breakfast table. The large fridge/freezer can be found in the nearby utility room, which also has a washing machine, tumble dryer, and plenty of space for storing bikes, coats and shoes. The utility room also makes a great games room with table football and an electronic dartboard. Exploring the ground floor further, the fresh, snug and cosy lounge has plenty of seating, a warming wood burner, a TV and a DVD player, making it an ideal space to sit back and relax at the end of a lovely day. There’s a separate dining room, perfect for enjoying a celebratory meal in style. The ground floor also houses the family bathroom complete with a shower over the bath, WC and underfloor heating. Going upstairs, there are four tastefully decorated bedrooms to choose from: two pretty double rooms, a snug bunk bedroom and a relaxing twin room. There’s also a handy shower room complete with a shower and WC.

Stepping outside, the enclosed garden has plenty of outdoor furniture, a chiminea and BBQ, perfect for spending an afternoon dining alfresco. The garden also has a small stream, stone steps and some steep drops down to the farm track – please keep children supervised. Dogs should also be kept on a lead as the surrounding fields have plenty of sheep, cattle and wildlife. Parking is available for three cars – please note, the local farmer has right of way for access to the nearby fields.
