Property code: DY010

This elegantly decorated and stylishly furnished apartment is set in a pretty spot on the shore of the Dyfi, and makes a relaxing holiday bolthole for a family exploring this lovely area.

Close to a charming local park and the Old Roman Road which leads you along to the delightful Picnic Island, this fantastic apartment is ideally situated along the foreshore of the Dyfi Estuary. Crossing the road you will reach a stony stretch of beach which makes a pleasant spot for a picnic or for spotting wildlife along the river. The apartment is on the outskirts of Aberdyfi (also known as Aberdovey) where you will find a championship golf course, some fabulous pubs and restaurants, and a glorious sandy beach which stretches for miles along Cardigan Bay to Tywyn (4 miles). Perfect for exploring the southern parts of the breathtaking Snowdonia National Park – local activities include sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and fishing.

A short flight of terraced external steps leads up and round to the entrance into this pretty south-facing apartment which occupies the first and second floors of the building. Stepping inside, the hallway features polished oak flooring and leads you through to the spacious and coolly decorated lounge/diner. This fresh and airy space is perfect for sitting back at the end of the day, watching a film on TV or taking in the views across the estuary. To the rear of the room there’s an inviting dining area perfect for gathering together for a family meal. A step leads down into the stylishly designed kitchen/diner which has a dishwasher, electric double oven and gas hob, microwave and fridge as well as an additional dining table and a handy breakfast table. The freezer and washing machine can be found in the utility room. There’s also a shower room with a shower and WC on this level, along with the first of the property’s three refreshing bedrooms: a light and cheerful twin room which is reached via a step down. Heading upstairs, the upper floor offers two cosy double bedrooms with plenty of storage space and views out over the river. You will also find an invigorating bathroom complete with underfloor heating, a shower over the bath and a WC.

A free car pass is provided, allowing parking in the Aberdyfi pay and display car parks, the nearest being 250 metres away at Penhelig.

Fabulous location with the most special views over the estuary. Having stayed at Glanaber a few times as a child it was very special to take my daughter. The cottage is very comfortable, every one needs, home from home. Fully equipped kitchen with a large dining table, super lounge with a table and chairs to enjoy breakfast with a view. A very comfortable and well located house suitable for a family plus 1 or 2. Very convenient for town and the car park. Views overlooking the estuary are excellent from the lounge/dining area and 2 of the 3 bedrooms, very relaxing. Conveniently positioned when with a dog, as directly across the road is access to a dog friendly area for small walks.Read more Stayed a couple of times in the last couple of years and likely to return. A great location for a lovely property. Very comfortable, well equipped and great views. Parking is around the corner but this is no problem and the car park pass makes it FOC. Comfortable walk into town and a very handy beach across the road for popping the dog out first thing and last thing. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

A centrally located cottage in Aberdyfi, which is a real home from home. We had a very relaxing stay in this comfortable property and would commend you consider staying at Glanaber, when visiting this area of Wales.

This is a good place to stay. Well equipped, clean and pretty comfortable. The position is great for views across the Dovey estuary and strolling to the nearest station or pub. Obviously the lack of parking space can be an issue in really bad weather but the free permit for the public car park a couple of hundred metres away makes it handy enough

Never disappoints. Very clean, comfy beds with good bedding and well equipped kitchen. Love the location being a little bit out of the centre and a perfect sea view with little beach right opposite. Have booked for a fourth time.
