Cwmhir Court is peacefully tucked away on the fringes of Clyro, a small settlement situated on the Welsh border, and just 1 mile from the popular town of Hay-on-Wye, where you will find cafes, restaurants, and the world-famous bookshops. Enjoy rambles along the banks of the River Wye and seek out The Warren, a pretty spot for wild swimming. Browse the craft shops set within the grounds of the ancient castle and pick up a souvenir. Discover the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park, with access to the scenic landscape of the National Trust’s The Begwns where you can enjoy spectacular views. Take on the Hay Bluff and Twmpa where you venture further into the Black Mountains. Both the Wye Valley and Offa’s Dyke trails run through Hay-on-Wye, offering traffic-free walking.

This gorgeous quirky property is set on the edge of the grounds of Cwmhir Court, enjoying views across the lush green meadow towards Hay Bluff. We chose the Grain Silo because of its quirkiness and it delivered. The kitchen in the main is well equipped and the small dining area worked well for the 2 of us. As advertised the bedroom is a bit tight but it has a hanging rail and a nice cupboard and 2 bed side tables. The lounge area upstairs is great with lovely views. We didn't use the outsiRead morede area as the weather was inclement so cannot really comment. Would highly recommend. Hide

Very lovely clean and welcoming. The welcome email the owners sent had all the information we could ask for and recommendations for local activities and restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here.

Amazing silos - such clever conversions - enjoyable walks from the property, helpful and friendly neighbours, good communication with owner. Loved Hay on Wye being right next door, and an early evening walk in the Black Mountains was unforgettable, as was the full day around the Brecon horseshoe. So nice to have the dog too and to be able to park rRead moreight outside. Certainly felt like we had got away from it all! Hide
