You’ll be set within the Monmouthshire countryside, an area renowned for its spectacular beauty. It’s a great place to visit for walking, climbing, fishing, pony-trekking and mountain biking. Just 3 miles away is the vibrant market town of Abergavenny with its ancient castle and museum, the World Heritage Site of Blaenavon, home to the Big Pit (11 miles). If you’re feeling energetic, maybe challenge yourself with one of the bigger climbs including Pen-Y- Fan (29 Miles), Hay Bluff (18 miles and the Sugar Loaf (6 Miles).
Enjoying a rural location within a farmyard, the private entrance of this country house offers a space where you can leave coats and boots after a day of sightseeing. There are comfortable furnishings and fittings throughout, yet the cottage retains much of its rustic charm. An open-plan living space is perfect for a small family, offering space to relax in the evening in front of the TV, and a dining table which is perfect for a simple supper. Prepare meals in the small but well-equipped kitchen that provides everything you may need. Guests have the choice of two bedrooms, a double bedroom and a triple room with three single beds that are perfect for children. These bedrooms share a bathroom with a shower over the bath, and WC. There is also a shared laundry room within the site with washing machines and tumble dryers.
Outside, you can BBQ and serve up on the picnic table on the shared patio. In the mornings, when breakfast is calling, help yourself to some eggs from the free-range hens. Later, in the afternoon, maybe go and meet the farm animals as they explore the grounds. There is access to an indoor shared swimming pool (from 2 weeks before Easter until after the October half term), a hot tub, an outdoor children’s play area and a games room with a pool table and table tennis.
