Well positioned on the border of the Brecon Beacons National Park and surrounded by established parklands, this stylish pet-friendly cottage is in an area steeped in history, making it a great base for both families and friends. As part of the Llanover Estate, guests are offered the opportunity to enjoy a visit to the private Llanover Garden by prior arrangement. Visit one of the many nearby castles including Raglan, Skenrith and Grosmont, all within 10 miles, and The Big Pit at Blaenavon is only 6 miles away. For walkers, a visit to Llanthony Valley (9 miles) where you can access the Offa’s Dyke footpath across to the Hay Bluff is a must. Take advantage of the River Usk with a day permit for fishing or stay local and take an easy stroll along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal towpaths enjoying the varied wildlife along the way. For some serious climbs, Pen-y-Fan, Sugar Loaf and the Black Mountains are all within 30 miles.
Surrounded by countryside, with views across to the Black Mountains. Guests will enter by the oak door into the spacious hallway. This hallway leads to a generously sized lounge, with two large sofas, an armchair, a Smart TV and an open fire making it perfect for a relaxing evening. From here, you can access the kitchen/diner, a spacious room with many traditional features. The large wooden table and chairs for four takes centre stage, surrounded by a well-equipped kitchen that offers everything you may need for your stay. Ascending the original, steep curved staircase around the central hearth guests have the choice of two bedrooms: a large master bedroom with a king-size bed, and a twin bedroom, which also has plenty of room at one end for a cot. The bedrooms share a family bathroom.
The enclosed gardens, secure for dogs and children alike, offer ample space for children to run about and play. There is a table and chairs for summer dining along with a small fruit orchard with apple and pear trees which are laden with fruit from August to October.
