The beautiful town of Llangollen, set in the scenic backdrop of the Clwydian Range AONB, is only 13 miles away, where you can adventure on the River Dee, hire a canal boat along the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct or walk up the remains of Castell Dinas Bran. National Trust Chirk Castle and Erddig, both within 11 miles, are great for history lovers. Take a day trip to the Roman City of Chester (25 miles) and experience a riverboat trip or visit Chester Zoo. For pubs, eateries and independent shops, visit Oswestry (9 miles), Whitchurch (16 miles) or Shrewsbury (25 miles), where you can explore Shrewsbury Prison and the many activities on offer there. This charming, semi-detached barn conversion, adjacent to an old working farm, provides a perfect break to explore Shropshire and its borderlands. Entering down the side of the patio, you're immediately welcomed by a cosy, open-plan living and kitchen area. A TV and DVD player sit in the corner of the room, perfect if you want to indulge in a slow afternoon indoors. You'll have everything you need in the kitchen to rustle up a home-cooked meal, along with a traditional wooden table perfect for both adventure planning and dining. There is a twin bedroom downstairs and a double bedroom upstairs, both with TVs and en-suites with showers over the bath and WCs.

Get lost in the peaceful sounds of nature and bird calls whilst you admire the beautiful countryside views stretched out in front of your private enclosed patio. Come rain or shine, soaking in the luxury hot tub is the perfect way to switch off from the real world and recharge your batteries. Bit scary driving down the very narrow lane when we arrived but soon got used to it. Felt very at home and the owners were very kind and helpful.
