There is heaps to explore in the Brecon Beacons, with stunning waterfalls and majestic peaks where every level of fitness is catered for. The Rivers Usk & Wye are both nearby for fishing, day permits for the River Usk are available in Crickhowell and canoes for the River Wye can be rented in Glasbury. There are towns aplenty, Hay on Wye, Brecon, Crickhowell and Abergavenny. You can also be in the capital, Cardiff, within 40 minutes.

The kitchen is superbly equipped with electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer and coffee machine. There's a dining area for two overlooking the gardens. A perfect place for a tranquile retreat! Away from the sound of traffic, the sound of other people, it is absolutely quiet here. In the neighbourhood, several good restaurants are available, plenty of opportunities to walk/hike in the Brecon Beacons National Park or in the Black Mountains, or visit ancient castles and ruins a bit further away. We stayed in Pine Cottgae, which we found to be very comfortable, extremely well equipped with delightful furnishings. The large well fenced garden and the paddock, were an extra bonus. Our two cocker spaniels, Daisy and Rosie had a wonderful time! The surrounding countryside is beautiful, in all weathers. We will be back again, hopefully, next yeaRead morer! Hide
