This character apartment is one of four apartments set in the village of Talgarth, in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The apartments are a short walk away to the village pubs and shops, and a restored watermill. Only a short drive away is the ever-popular, town of books, Hay-on-Wye. The property is a short drive to some local beauty spots such as Llangorse Lake and Pwll-y-Wrach Nature Reserve, offering super walks. For the more easy-going guests there are some lovely market towns such as Crickhowell and Brecon, both within easy reach. There is plenty to see and do during the day, such as walking, mountain biking, climbing, kayaking, fishing and horse riding, before a bit of star gazing in the evening. (Please check admittance for the various attractions).

As you enter the entrance hallway, you will climb the stairs to the first floor. As you open the front door and make your way along the corridor you will enter the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Light floods in this room as there is a large bay window with added window seat, the perfect place to watch the world go by or curl up with a good book. There is also a comfy sofa bed (which can convert into a double sofa bed) and a Smart TV with Netflix in the lounge area. The dining area is compact yet perfect to enjoy a home cooked meal together enjoying views towards the village centre. Although the kitchen area is compact it comes fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge. As you head back out of the lounge/kitchen/diner you will find the shower room with shower and WC, the perfect place to enjoy a hot rinse after a busy day exploring. To complete this apartment, you will find the master double bedroom which is located off the lounge/kitchen area, which has been tastefully decorated and a restful place to enjoy a good night’s rest.

Roadside parking subject to availability. However, there is a free all year-round public car park within a two minute stroll from the property.

Absolutely great stay in flat 3 of the old post office. Really comfy, clean and well kept, great for a couple. We loved sitting in the window seat , which looks up and down the main street of Talgarth. The local pub the bridge end is literally on the door step, great food and very welcoming. Also there is a little family run cafe called the Stand wRead morehich does lovely food and great menu choice. The water mill gardens are a must to visit. Also got to mention the red kites wow wow wow Hide

A very pleasant flat in the centre of Talgarth. Comfy bed, good shower and great location. Wifi works well and the heating is efficient. Parking is tricky as there are only timed spaces near the door and lots of double yellow lines. The new large Coop shop is slightly out of town so it means a short drive or a good walk but the Mill shop just up thRead moree street makes great fresh bread ! Hide

Excellent location, lovely accommodation and the pub across the road which does great.food. Museum and Mill well worth a visit. Kite watching from the window seat an added bonus.

Nice comfortable apartment in the centre of a quiet village. Good base for visiting the surrounding area. Comfortable bed though only able to get in and out one side as one side against the wall. Could do with some more storage space. Well equipped kitchen.

We Loved apartment 3 in the Victorian post office! THE most comfortable bed ever! The whole flat was so cosy, warm and full of light! The window seat was a real treat to sit in watching the world go by, the pub is right next door, the co-op, Cantonese, town hall , mill bakery (with stunning riverside gardens) and tourist info are all only 1 minute Read morewalk away! Adorable apartment, fab location, surrounded by gorgeous waterfalls. Well equipped and lovely snuggly duvets & the chocs on arrival were a great surprise.

Absolutely lovely place to stay! 10 mins out from most thing, a pub literally on the doorstep! Apartment was absolutely lovely, plenty of space for two and locals are very accomodating
