Set within the grounds of a traditional working farm, you can enjoy plenty by foot from this lodge, with well-marked farm trails and wildlife ponds where you can take a dip or enjoy the wildlife. It’s a short walk into Talybont-on-Usk which is well served with two pubs and shops and ideally situated for exploring the Taff Cycle Trail, the Brinore Tramroad, and the Henry Vaughan Walk. The Blaen y Glyn waterfalls are nearby (7.5 miles), or you can take a walk around the Pontsticill Reservoir (8 miles) or a trip on a steam train through the region. The popular town of Brecon (8.5 miles) has a cinema, theatre, historic cathedral, and several great independent shops and places to eat and drink.
Enjoy the views across the valley before you step inside this beautiful lodge, finished to a very high standard and perfect for couples wanting to get away and enjoy the countryside. The open-plan living space has been well configured offering guests a cosy space to relax and unwind in front of the wood burner (first basket of logs included). For dining, there is a table and chairs, and for the chef amongst you, there’s a bespoke kitchen that is well-equipped to offer an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher and washing machine. A generous king-size bedroom with garden views offers access to a luxury bathroom with a free-standing bath, his-and-hers sinks and a WC.
Outside, the garden has an open aspect within sympathetically landscaped grounds. There is a hot tub where you can relax and enjoy the dark skies, as well as a table and chairs for dining and a BBQ. There is guest parking for two cars within the on-site car park.
